There are various ways how one can analyze your power consumption. These include your electrical bills or measuring your actual power consumption over a period of time.

Another way is to simply use our practical experience with these system. We don't mind upgrading high voltage batteries to increase their capacity. We do not like upgrading inverters, as this means you loose your initial investment. For this reason, we do not sell inverters smaller than 5kW for residential applications.

Most "conventional" battery systems comprise 4 x 12 Volt batteries wire in series. The voltage of the batteries add up for a nominal voltage of 48 Volts.

The power form your solar battery need to be converted to 48 Volt to charge your batteries. The resulting currents are high, forcing you to use thick and expensive cables. There is an efficiency loss in converting the power down, and converting the 48 Volt up again for use in your buildings electrical system 240V alternating current.

A High Voltage system typically has 5 or more Lithium Ion batteries in series for a voltage of 250 Volt or more. As the battery voltage is much higher, cabling can be a smaller gauge. Most importantly, the system efficiency increases.

A HV battery system can be expanded, battery module by battery module, to increase the voltage, and thereby the total system capacity.
